What is the word that means "the horn-shaped terminator of a crescent"? Basically, the tips of a half moon.

Can't find this one online. It possibly starts with an "L," but that might confuse the situation. Anyway, I remember reading it, and it's the word for one of the two tips of a crescent. Thanks for any help.
