SOmeonE heLp me anSwer dS?
For question two. After drawing a diagram. You will see that it's lowest point is when the pendulum is vertical and will be -45 if you take top of pendulum as reference height. Now it's highest point will be when it makes 15 degrees either way of this (because if it goes through 30 degrees in total that will be 15 degrees each way) So using trigonometry you can work out the extra height at this point. From your diagram you should see 45cos15 should give you the vertical component of this (the negative of this will give vertical displacement). So the pendulum rises the difference between these points (highest and lowest) which i calculated to be 1.53(2d.p) . Hope this helps
