Is it okay to put painted clay back in the oven after glaze?

If the heat of the oven is too high, the paint may burn or darken. I'd just put the pieces in the sun and leave them for a couple days before you glaze them. If you glaze them before they are really dry, you will be trapping the moisture in and the glaze may begin to come off.
