Who else agrees that Mccain picking Palin was a ist choice?

I think it was ist and if I believe that it was his own personal pick, then I worry even more about his judgment. If he just wanted a female running mate, there were lots of women with much more government experience than Palin, but I suspect Rove wanted him to pick a pretty one instead.
