Trying to wrap my mind around this stuff...?

Alright, honestly, I'm trying to wrap my head around the deal with people and Obama (or people and McCain). Why is it that (to be blunt) there are so many stupid people? It's as if there's a full moon 24/7 and people start becoming savage and witless. Specifically with stuff like rude comments, baseless ertions, etc... Am I the only one that notices this? It's enough to make someone cynical and sick and tired of people.
