Things to do in corpus christi?

Okay, I live in corpus christi, tx. I'm not from here, but have lived here for two years(Navy). I'm dating a native texan that grew up in corpus. the problem is that I don't know what to do for fun around here. she doesn't really like fancy resteraunts, or things like that. just simple stuff. i don't know what to do though...
