Does Germany have the right answer regarding Mosques?
Nine years on, German authorities have finally had enough. This week, Hamburg's interior ministry seized and closed the mosque where Mohammed Atta recruited two of the 9/11 hijackers. Under constant scrutiny since the authorities made the 9/11 connection, the Taiba Mosque in Hamburg has remained "a center of attraction for the jihad scene." That's the conclusion of a 2009 report by Germany's internal security services. But when the Germans discovered that 11 home-grown members of the mosque had trained as terrorists and two were jailed for planning an attack in Germany, they decided to act.
